A member of the Ghana Supporters Union of Ghana, Daniel Ofori Gidison also known in football circles as (Pluto), has tipped Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, GFA, Fred Pappoe, has the best person to succeed Kwesi Nyantekyi as the next President of the GFA.
According to him, Mr. Pappoe has the knowledge and experience who stands tall among his competitors and should be given the nod as the next President of the GFA.
Speaking in an interview with WestAfrica24.com in Accra, Mr. Ofori Gidison stated that Mr. Pappoe has some enviable records under his belt as a football administrator.
He added that Mr. Pappoe is credited for the Black Stars exploits at the World Cups in Germany 2006 in Germany and South Africa in 2010, when he served as Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee.
“If we need competent and experienced person to run Ghana Football, then Fred Pappoe is the best candidate we should give the mandate to” he stated.
“As a former Vice President of the GFA, he has learnt all the rudiments of the game and understands the running of football in the country” Mr. Ofori Gidison noted.
Mr. Ofori Gidison has therefore called on Club Administrators, Referess and all stakeholder in football in Ghana to vote for Mr. Pappoe to be the next GFA President to bring changes to Ghana football.
Mr. Pappoe worked with the GFA between 2005 to 2015 and currently a board member of a Division one side Accra Great Olympics.
