The National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah, revealed the doubt he has for the chances of the biggest opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) winning 2020 election.
NDC does not have the chance of winning the 2020 election even though the NPP government lead by Akufo-Addo have failed to achieve its promises to the citizens, according to Mornah.
Speaking to Blessed Sogah on State of The Nation monitored by GhanaNewsPage.Com, the PNC chairman said he’s unimpressed with the Akufo-Addo-led administration since he assumed office and must be voted out.
“If I were to mark the president, I will give him 4 out of 10 and that is even to be charitable because I think the president has failed and disappointed Ghanaians.
“His rhetoric during opposition is far below his performance in government. He needs to up his game from now till December, anything short of that would mean president Akufo-Addo will be out.”
He added that, the PNC can win the 2020 elections if it does away with internal struggles and organize its structures.
“I don’t see the NDC winning either…when the PNC candidate eventually emerges…I think that we will give them a good run and in particular if my brothers and sisters in the CPP agree that we should come together, I will work behind the scenes I will not be the national chairman and I will not contest for it so that we can gunner sufficient votes to lead this country to show the people of Ghana that enough of the NDC-NPP rhetoric”
