Information reaching WestAfrica24.com indicates that with less than 24hrs for the vetting committee members of the Greater Accra Regional Office of the National Democratic Congress, NDC, to commence vetting of Parliamentary aspirants, members of the vetting committee are alleged in deeply involving bribery scandal.

Source within the regional administration of the NDC has reported that parliamentary aspirant and the incumbent Member of Parliament for the East Ayawaso Constituency, Nasser Mahama Toure, is alleged to have shared unspecified amount of money in an envelopes to each of the members of the vetting committee to disqualify his main competitor, Dr. Yakubu Azindow when he takes his turn to meet the committee.

The already planned scheme was led by the Constituency Chairman, Alhaji Olabode Williams, who openely declared his support for the incumbent MP.

Our source from within the inner circles of the Nasser camp tells of how a plan had been made for the vetting committee to disqualify Dr. Yakubu Azindow at all cost to allow the MP to go unopposed.

Some Constituency Executives who were pushing the plan, according to the source, also had their share of fat envelopes.

They did so, with a price tag on their conscience, the source says, as the MP has allegedly been promising to reward every delegate who supports him with huge sums of cash after he has won the election.

This juicy promise by the MP, we have cross checked with some of the delegates who have confirmed, but we can not independently verify.

Interestingly, many of the delegates do not believe in that promise because the MP is saying that he will only give the money out after he has won to become PC.

Meanwhile, WestAfrica24.com has gathered from the camp of Dr. Azindow that his supporters will be up in arm, ready to beat up members of the vetting committee if they dare hatch the plan.

Angry supporters of Dr. Azindow have threatened to storm the vetting room and create any chaotic situation if the regional Chairman, Ade Coker and his men try to execute their deal.
