MP donates 11 taxi cabs to his constituency in the Ashanti Region.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso Constituency, Hon. Kennedy KwasiKankam, has donated 11 Kia taxi cab to the Nhyiaeso constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) office to enhance the party’s activities in the area.

Handing the vehicles over in a ceremony dubbed ‘Accounting to the people of Nhyiaeso constituency’ at True Vine Hotel in Kumasi, the MP urged the constituents to continue to be loyal, work hard, and sacrifice to help the NPP to retain political power coming 2020.

At a colourful ceremony to hand over the Taxi cabs to the constituency, the MP was grateful to the constituents for their support over the years and asked for their continuous support in the coming years.

Hon. Kwasi Kankam in his address said, operation of taxi cabs will help reduce the financial burden on the constituency especially donations to wedding, funeral and other social gathering. According to him, the donation forms part of his commitment to resource the party at the constituency level towards election 2020 and beyond.

The Constituency Chairman, Mr. George Kofi Agyei popularly known as ‘Chairman Geokad’, was grateful to the Hon. Kankam for his kind gesture and numerous supports to the party at the constituency. He called on the constituents to support the MP in his bid to develop the Nhyiaeso Constituency.

He said aside from the cars donation and the renting of an office space for the party, the MP had also given numerous scholarships to brilliant but needy students in the constituency and helped polling station executives set up businesses for themselves.

The Ashanti Regional Organizer Dr. Francis Adomako popularly known as François, who was at the handing over ceremony said the donation will greatly boost the operation of the party in Ashanti and even Ghana as a whole. He said, this donation is first of its kind in Ashanti Region for a Member of Parliament to donate 11 cabs to a constituency as gratis.

He also used the opportunity to remind the party’s faithful to eschew complacency and internal wrangling in other to focus the 2020 general elections.

The donation happens not to be the first time as theNhyiaeso ConstituencyMember of Parliament (MP), Hon. Kennedy KwasiKankamhas earlier donated a 40-seater bus to the constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The MP indicated that the bus would serve as a means of transportation for members of the NPP in the Nhyiaeso Constituency as well as the party’s executives to various occasions and events they attend.

He added that the gesture was among numerous things being done to provide opportunities for the constituents.

He said he would also lead an Nhyiaeso business delegation to South Korea on September 28, 2019 for the members of the Nhyiaeso Business Chamber of Commerce to explore partnerships for their businesses.

The MP announced that he had also secured a land for the construction of an ultramodern office building for the Nhyiaeso constituency NPP and called for support from party faithfuls to help him deal with other unfinished business especially in building the Nhyiaeso Constituency Senior High School and the likes.
