A report gathered by WestAfrica24.com has it that a three man gang of robbers robbed a shrine at Mim, a town in the Asunafo North District of the BRONG Ahafo region. It was reported that the robbers took gold bars and a total sum of Gh¢2500.00 WestAfrica24.com can confirm. The incident happen on Friday.

Information gathered by Adom News cited by WestAfrica24.com suggested that, police were prompted by the Krontihene, Nana Gyan I and the fetish priest, Nana Kwaku Addai of the town, who disclosed that a group of masked men invaded the shrine amidst firing of gunshots and made away with some valuable items at the shrine.

It was added that two people were hit by bullet, the police crime officer at Mim has said in an interview.

“A man was hit on his waist and a woman also hit on her hand and currently receiving treatment at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi because of the condition of the victims,” he added.

The brother of the male victim Daniel Kwesi told Adom News that they have transfered his brother to the KATH due to his critical condition.
