Windstorm has befell the people of Somanya in the Eastern Region with cars and properties worth more than GHS200,000 damaged, WestAfrica24.com has learnt.
The building complex housing the Somanya branch of Barclays Bank and three other cooperate offices has been damaged severely but fortunately for the occupants in the building, no one was hurt. Cars belonging to staffs of the offices are all dented.
A large tree in front of the Somanya polyclinic has also reportedly been pulled down by the powerful Monday, 25th windstorm.
Officials from the Ghana National Fire Service, the Police and NADMO were embarking on a joint rescue and salvage operations to ensure there was no casualty.
