The Police Officer who bragged about taking bribe landed in a big trouble.


Sergent Augustine Owusu-Ansah, an Assin Fosu Police officer who was in May captured in a video that went viral bragging about taking bribe from criminals has been charged with extortion.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the Central Region, Irene Oppong revealed to the media that the Attorney General’s Office said the officer should be prosecuted.

In the video which went viral, the officer can be head talking of how he deals with criminal activities and even if his colleagues arrested someone who engaged in the act, he will help free the suspect if he {the officer} given what he requested for.

The docket was forwarded to the Attorney-General’s Department for advice and it came out that General Sergeant Augustine Owusu-Ansah should be charged and prosecuted at the Circuit Court in Cape Coast,” he added.
