Trotro World Service To Augment Transport System Introduced

A new on-demand transportation platform known as Trotro World Service has been launched in Accra aimed at providing safe, affordable and efficient transport to Ghanaians across the country. Trotro World Service as a Ghanaian owned internet transport network company with offices in Atlanta Georgia USA and Ghana.

The company develops, markets and operates Trotro mobile app, which allows individuals with smartphone to submit a trip or service request which is then routed to the nearest Trotro App.

Speaking at the launch in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of the Trotro World Service and the developer of the Trotro App, Samuel Kankam Boateng, said with the erratic public transport, Trotro World Service will offer convenient and cost-effective solution to transportation.

He added that the Trotro World Service will also provide alternative transport option for many people and hours spent in traffic can be put to better use.

Mr. Boating noted that with Trotro World Service, passengers will be able to request more spacious rides for everyday commutes.

The Executive Director of the National Service Scheme, Mustapha Ussif, said with the introduction of the Trotro World Service and Trotro App, Ghana’s economy stands to benefit from ICT tools.

He noted that the western world’s boast of having moved into service production is as a result of investing hugely in technologies thereby providing fast and efficient service to its citizens.

Mr. Ussif indicated that the transformational process to facilitate the development of the country is through a well thought out, innovative, contextual and a user-friendly technology.

He added that today, the world is moving at a pace where technology or automation is systematically replacing manual and traditional way of doing things.

Mr. Ussif therefore encouraged all and sundry to appreciate and move in this direction in other to identify with the current trend.

He congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of the Trotro World Service and the developer of the Trotro App, Samuel Kankam Boateng for hatching such a wonderful idea in contributing to the improvement of the transport system to be more reliable, efficient and convenient.
